ALL DAY GAME SPOTTING IN THE Southern KNP game spotting, in the afternoon we exit the Kruger National Park and stay overnight at Komatipoort on the Mozambique border.
via Jeppe’s Reef and Piggs Peak, enter the mountainous kingdom of Swaziland. Depending on time, visit to a local craft market and a glass or tapestry factory. Overnight in or near Mbabane, the capital of Swaziland.
After breakfast we visit a local candle factory along the way and then head through vast pineapple and sugar cane plantations for the land of the Zulus, crossing the border at Golela. Overnight at Mkuze (recommended for birders) or stay at a **** Private Game Farm in the area or head straight to St.Lucia
We continue to the St. Lucia Wetlands (World Heritage site) and, weather permitting, set out by boat to marvel at the vast bird and aquatic wildlife (major breeding colonies of crocodiles and hippopotamus). Overnight in St.Lucia
An additional day in the World Heritage Site of the Greater iSimangaliso Wetland Park (St.Lucia) is recommended to view this unique estuary with it’s the huge diversity in fauna and flora, the great variety of different ecosystems in the park, ranging from coral reefs and sandy beaches to subtropical dune forests, savannas, and wetlands. Animals occurring on the park include elephant, African leopard, black and southern white rhino, buffalo, and in the ocean, whales, dolphins, and marine turtles including the leatherback and loggerhead turtle.
The park is also home to 1,200 Nile crocodiles and 800 hippopotami. In December 2013, after 44 years of absence, African lions were reintroduced to iSimangaliso.
